LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
The 2023 SHHS Choir Tour is from Thursday, March 23rd – Tuesday, March 28th to Los Angeles. Departure will be the afternoon on the March 23rd and we’ll return the evening of March 28th. Our plan is to drive the first day to St. George where we will stay one night. We will then drive to Las Vegas and stay one night there. We'll then drive the rest of the way to Los Angeles and spend three nights there. In lieu of driving home, we are planning to fly home at the conclusion of the tour.
We will spend our time in St. George, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles performing in historic and beautiful venues, visiting university campuses to work with choral experts there, visiting other high school choirs, and getting to see and experience the rich cultural and historic sights and sounds of the cities we are visiting. A more detailed itinerary will be available on our website, www.shhschoirs.org about a month prior to departure. Updates and changes to the itinerary may occur.
The total cost of tour is $1000 for students. The cost for adult travelers will not exceed $1300. All transportation costs, 1-2 meals each day, and all activities will be included; however, students may want to bring additional spending money for souvenirs and other tour keepsakes. There will be 5-10 meals not included in the cost of the tour (including two meals at Disneyland). I recommend students bring $80 to cover those costs. All other tour expenses are already included in the total price.
There are no Covid Vaccine requirements in place this year. There may be certain venues/buildings which require masking. We'll make sure everyone is aware of these requirements ahead of time.
Inclusions
Travelling Adults/Chaperones/Student-Age Travellers
All adult and student-age travelers will be required to make separate travel arrangements through our Travel Agency. The cost for adults will be different from students, and all payments will be made through the Travel Agency, not Salem Hills High School.

During the Fall, there will be at least 2 opportunities to raise money for tour. These will include a mattress fundraiser and a cookie dough sale. While participation is optional, students have succeeded in making a lot of money on these fundraisers in the past.
Participant Safety
